with the objective of educating the public in the ethnic diversity
and heritage of the dances of North Africa and the Middle East.
Adult students studying Middle Eastern Dance are offered performance
opportunities by inclusion in Daughters of the Nile. Troupe members
perform at local civic functions and cultural festivals.
Within
Chandani’s classes, the student not only learns technique
but learns to reach within her soul to express herself through the
language of the dance. Chandani believes that everyone can express
herself (or himself) through the art of Middle Eastern Dance. The
key is to learn to get in touch with the spirit within and get past
the inhibitions we may have learned.
